Tour Overview
Ten days of remarkable and awe-inspiring safari experience, travel across Kenya and Tanzania’s most famous African safari destinations. You will visit the renowned Masai Mara, Serengeti, Tarangire National Parks and the Ngorongoro Crater. These parks allow the chance to see the “Big 5” (Elephants, Lions, Buffalo, Rhinos and Leopards).
This itinerary has been crafted to maximise your chances of experiencing the Great Migration. You will visit the Masai Mara and the Serengeti, where most of the wildebeest migration is usually found from July to October, particularly the high drama of a river crossing at the Mara River.
The great wildebeest migration is the movement of over two million wildebeest, accompanied by numbers of zebras and smaller gazelles. They move in a relatively predictable annual pattern within Serengeti – Masai Mara Ecosystem. They migrate constantly seeking fresh grazing and, it’s now thought, better quality water.
Then your journey continues through the Central Serengeti (must-see’ on every safari); the site offers superb game viewing all year round due to its abundance of resident animals. You will then visit the UNESCO-protected World Heritage Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a pioneering experiment where people (the Maasai), livestock, and wildlife co-exist and share the same protected habitat. The stunning Ngorongoro Crater is home to thousands of everyday animals, including the rare black rhinos, elephants, and a large predator population of lions.
Finally, visit the renowned Tarangire National Park; the park is famed for its excellent diverse ecosystem, boasting one of the largest concentrations of elephants in East Africa and its vast numbers of elephants and baobab trees.
