Tour Overview

A 6-day incredible safari where you see the best of Kenya, visiting three parks: Amboseli, Lake Nakuru National Park and the famous Masai Mara National Reserve.

Firstly, visit the renowned Amboseli National Park, the land of giants, home to some of Africa’s oldest and bulkiest Elephants with enormous tusks. Above Amboseli is the jagged dome of Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world.

Then continue traverse Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake; it’s the highest Lake in the Rift Valley, with the distinctive volcanic outline of Mount Longonot rising to the south. It is a unique place where you can do a boat ride among the hippos.

You are finally ending your journey to the most iconic Masai Mara, which offers awe-inspiring and unforgettable safari experiences spiced by abundant wildlife in the endless plains, including the favourites “Big 5” – Elephants, Lions, Buffalo, rhinos and Leopards.

Tour Itinerary
Day by Day

Pick up from the Jomo Kenyatta Airport or your hotel in Nairobi; then, drive to Amboseli National Park. On arrival at the park, enroute the game drive to the lodge taking part in your first game drive along the way. When you arrive, you will check-in and have lunch.

Later in the afternoon, you will embark on another game drive to get your first view of Mount Kilimanjaro, a massive population of elephants, a wide variety of birds and other breathtaking scenery. Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Amboseli National Park is the second most popular animal park after Maasai Mara, on the border with the neighbouring country of Tanzania. Its magnificent situation at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and its excellent opportunities to view Kenya’s animals make it one of the most-visited safari parks in Kenya. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of free-ranging African elephants. There are over 900 African elephants in Amboseli, vast herds of wildebeests, and many other animals you will see during game drives.

After breakfast, you will enjoy a morning and an afternoon game drive at the park, with a lunch break between each movement. Amboseli National Park hosts a wide variety of wildlife throughout the year and can be visited all year round.

Amboseli offers one of the most classic and breathtaking views of the gigantic Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world. In addition, you will have a chance to visit Observation Hill, which overlooks the park, swamps and, of course, the herds of free-roaming elephants.

You may also choose to visit a Maasai village where you meet the local people and learn about their culture. Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

After a delicious breakfast, depart to Lake Naivasha, where you will arrive in time for lunch. After enjoyable lunch, you will depart for the boat ride that allows you to explore Lake Naivasha, a vast freshwater lake that supports a great diversity of plains game as well as more than 400 species of bird.

Lake Naivasha is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including a healthy population of hippos, a variety of freshwater fish like black bass, tilapia and crayfish, and many fish-eating birds like fish eagles, pelicans, kingfishers and cormorants.

An early morning drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve, it holds on as one of the few places left on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed, in the numbers that once roamed the plains and forests of Africa. Along the way, you will enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley; you will have a stop for hot lunch before proceeding with the game drive in the iconic Masai Mara.

You will enjoy an afternoon game viewing until sunset as you track the Big Five animals and numerous plains games. Then, later in the evening, drive to your camp for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of Kenya’s most sought-after game-viewing areas. The reserve itself covers 700sq miles of magnificent wilderness. It is the Africa of your imagination, with endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills.

After a delicious breakfast, you will depart for the day discovering the Mara game reach areas in search of the Big Five animals and the wildebeest migration. However, you can opt for separate morning and afternoon game drives and return late in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

The reserve is well known for its black-manned lion and abundant resident wildlife, and it’s one of the few places where it’s possible to see the big five. In addition, many cheetahs are so tame that they seek shelter from the hot sun under one’s vehicle, and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey.

In the Mara, the most spectacular natural world event happens, ‘‘The Great Annual Migration,” of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following their heels are the savannah predators: lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vulture.

After a delicious breakfast in the camp, pack your bags and say farewell as you depart for Nairobi. Then, again, wave goodbye and embark on your final game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Your driver guide will drive you to Nairobi and drop you off at the place of your choice.
